My first craft market / Poprvé na krajkářských trzích

I would like to mix this blog a little to include also my felting and fibre art and so from now Thursdays will belong to KV Felted Designs and Mondays to KVPhotography.

I have many news in my little felting business and hopefully can show them to you all soon.

Last weekend I took part at a craft market for the first time with my KV FeltedDesigns brand. And it was good and fun experience and hopefully not a last one.

The market was organised by Czech Educational Association of Arts and Crafts, that is, since 1992, rising awareness about textile crafts, especially handmade lace by organising workshops, courses and exhibitions. The market is organised twice a year and introduces many fibre and textile artists with their traditional and modern techniques.  For past few years I was happily visiting the market as a visitor and finally this year I enrolled also to show and sell my felted pieces.

Pořádá různé semináře, kurzy a výstavy.

The market was in a school building.
Trhy byly v budově školy.
There were many silk painters with beautiful scarves.
Bylo zde mnoho umělkyň s krásně malovanými hedvábnými šátky.
Main part was dedicated to handmade lace and materials for its making.

I have tried making lace once, as it's pretty traditional in Belgium too, but I had zero patience for it...pity...

  5. I did not realize you do felting! I like your fun hats!
I like lace very much when used for decorating garments. I think that is one of the harderst craft, associated with women, that one can do.
